5 Minute Vase Redo

My mother was about to throw out a vase.

Well, actually, she was about to throw out the vase a few weeks ago, when she set it on the counter and said "This thing is just collecting dust! I'm about to throw it away" and I said "Don't you dare throw that away!" (those aren't exact quotes.)

Today, I took it off the counter and put it onto a shoebox lid with a sample of interior paint I had (collecting dust) in the garage. I dumped a little bit of the paint into the vase and slowly swirled it all around in there to coat the inside. I poured out the excess back into the sample container (as well as I could).

When I got tired of holding it upside down, I set it up to dry. It'll probably take a couple days to dry, but since I'm hands-off at this point, I'm still considering this a 5 minute craft!

Doesn't it look like a ceramic piece now? I love this color green. I'm not 100% sure if the paint I chose is water-soluble or not, so I'll probably only put silk flowers in it. It's beautiful. I think I'll add it to my bathroom :)

I just love 5 minute makeovers. What else is naptime for??
